This is a 1500 square foot; two bedroom residence for a retired gentleman amidst a 75 cent property not very far from Sims’ Park.
The design is simple and traditional keeping in mind costs.The site was quite steep but the client wanted the house to be on a single level, sparing the servant’s quarter which has been tucked beneath. The design features a sliced hip roof on either end and several other gables. The large open central living area opens out onto a ten foot deck which overlooks the valley below.
The building should get into construction phase in the near future.
